The culture symposium on the 6th of November, 2021
During the opening weekend of the exhibition, “MagiC Carpets” partners will gather in Kaunas for a special one-day symposium (6 November 2021) open to the public with a wide programme of presentations and discussions by internationally renowned arts and culture field professionals. The symposium will focus on the topic of the “Working in public spaces” and explore the different practices and methods of engaging audiences through arts and culture activities in the public realm.
Symposium featuring international guests, including Hou Hanru, Lewis Biggs, Virginija Vitkienė and many others. Some featured artists will also participate.

Workshop curated by the duo Grossi Maglioni – Using tools on view in the exhibit installation, the artists will carry out a workshop aimed at creating new narratives inspired by the story in the exhibit. For 7-11 years children. This workshop that the artists will carry out in Kaunas with the local community is part of their research project entitled Beast Mother and is supported by the Italian Council (2021), Directorate-General for Contemporary Creativity, Ministry of Culture. |

SPECIAL TOUR WITH CURATOR "The exhibition is not just a display of artworks, it is an integrated exhibition that would like to rethink the idea of itself as a relational platform. 01 19 - 23 First Act. The Confusion | At 19:30 (7:30pm) on 22 January, all are invited to an historic event: the Opening Ceremony of the Kaunas European Capital of Culture programme! The ceremony will be held near the Žalgiris Arena. The show programme will be kept a secret until the last minute before the opening. |
